St. Anthony Hospital has asked the residents of Heritage Hills for our help. It began with masks. Suzette and Kim Hatfield have organized and funded a group of mask sewers. They are well on their way to their goal of 1000 masks.
The St. Anthony Foundation has also asked us for help in providing meals for their frontline health care providers, 50 meals once a week over the next 16 weeks.
The Executive Committee of HPI has discussed this and would like to do everything we can as a neighborhood. We would like to provide $2,000 for masks. Each week we would like to pay one of our nearby restaurants $1,000 to provide and deliver 50 meals for a total of $16,000. We know this will help these shops in their fight through this "stay home” period. We plan to spread it around to several restaurants.
Thus, we need a total of $18,000. We have agreed that $6,000 of that should come out of HPI funds. We would like to raise the rest, $12,000, from the residents of Heritage Hills. Please consider a donation to Historical Preservation, Inc. for this effort. Any amount would be great. But I know we will need many in the $200 to $300 range to get there. If we raise more money than described above, we will provide more masks and more meals.
